Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
