Area Police
Approximately fifty vehicles have been marked with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, police confirm authorities.
Automobiles, building surfaces and mailboxes were vandalized, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they stated in a official communication.
Officers say they were contacted during the night on Wednesday, when a individual observed that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish-hued substance.
The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a swastika, they added.
Police then located numerous other vandalized automobiles and house walls in the surrounding area.
Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of symbols from the Nazi era.
Law enforcement state early analysis show the liquid was most likely human blood.
"At present there remains no lead as to its origin; investigators are presently not informed of any harm in connection with the incident," they stated.
City officials said they were attempting "to solve the case" and have asked to the public for tips.
A senior representative stated the attack left him stunned and had to be resolved rapidly.
"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on a platform, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on individuals of migrant background in February 2020.
